I normally wear a UK 9 and ordered a UK 9. The fit was right straight away — secure through the heel with enough room at the front, and the shaft sits neatly under the trouser leg.
The ankle was the part I was most worried about, but it's comfortable. The first couple of wears were slightly firm, then it settled in quickly without rubbing or digging in.
I've worn them with chinos, corduroy trousers and tailored trousers and they work really well with all three. They look much smarter than a casual boot but still easy to wear every day.
The material looks better in person than in the photos. The finish has a nice depth to it and feels solid rather than thin or plasticky.
They needed a little bit of breaking in around the ankle and forefoot, but nothing excessive. After a few wears they softened up nicely and became much more comfortable.
I've been wearing them regularly through the colder weather and they're holding their shape really well. No cracking in the upper and the sole still feels completely secure.
